Guide to fix error 101 in Play Store app

Error 101 is one of the most popular in Play Store, but fortunately, Google has found a way to fix it. If you are using an old Android device, it is understandable if you encounter this problem. Error 101 will prevent you from downloading apps with a pop up will say, “The app could not be downloaded due to an error (-101)”. Don’t worry, today I will instruct you how to fix error 101 in Play Store by effectively way.

Option 1: Go to Settings > Apps > All > Play Store

Choose “Google Play Store” from App settings

Select “Clear Cache” and “Clear Data”

Clear data and cache of app

Restart the device and try to re-download the app

Restart devices and install or update apps

If using this option doesn’t fix the error, you must remove your current Gmail account and add a new one

Option 2:

Go to Settings > Accounts & sync

Choose “Account & sync” from Settings

Select Google > Menu > Remove account

Remove Google account

Select Add account

Re-add Google account

Go to the Play Store and download the app

Try to update apps
